Will take God to court
It is so hard to walk a different path than your bestie, role model parent, ...you name them. Especially when you like them so much. The care they splashed out on you, the love they enveloped you with, the nights they stayed up to keep you warm, and yes! the poop they had to clean!
Now what's the issue here? BOOM, CLASH!!! Beliefs, religion!
When I was still young, my parents used to take me to church. It was a must. Everybody had to attend Sunday mass. My parents were my role models, and I never questioned their instructions because I knew they choose what's best for me.
As I grew up, I realized how much influence the priest had over the whole town. He talked to God. He knows how to live a righteous life. So we better listen to every word he says.
He is a man of God after all.
I soon realized I could read the Bible myself. I did, and I came up with different interpretations. To my surprise, there were a lot of stuff I found to be way too cruel for God to do: Killing all the first-born children in Egypt for retaliation to the Pharaoh who refused to let go of Israelites, ....
Long story short: We are told in the Bible that God created Adam and Eve and told them they should not eat a certain tree in paradise( I wonder why she/he put it there in the first place) and then they were tempted by Satan, then got punished.
But God gave them a second chance and sent his only begotten son Jesus to save us.
Well, at least that's the version of Christians. I wonder about Muslims. So here I am either waiting to burn in hell or live happily in heaven.
Why didn't God create me so perfectly?
If he couldn't, then he made a mistake. Like that scientist who thinks an invention works perfectly well and turns out bad later.
Ohh, how about Satan? Sure if God is all knowing, he could have predicted the dude was gonna rebel against him?
Hmm, you might say, "well, God gave you free will and intelligence to choose from right and wrong." What kind of free choice is that if I am punished if I make my own choice? Why do I need to be punished again in hell?
Maybe there is another version of God out there. A God that is not a maniac. A God that does not require people to bow down before her/him ( I am sorry, is God a she or a he?) I don't know.
Look at what religious people are doing all over the world. Killing you if you do not believe in their God.
Now you will call me a blasphemer, an atheist. Seriously, my dad's/mum's heart is better than the God you praise so much. That partial God that says the nation of Israel is his favorite nation. What kind of parent is that? I hear people sing that they will go to the city of Jerusalem at last. How about Nairobi, Accra...?
As there are different types of personalities: Introverts, extroverts,.. , there are people with different ideas or beliefs of what our purpose here on earth is. Believe the hell all you want, but let the other person live their life. What is her lifestyle gonna change about you? If he drinks, fucks, or is naked, what has that to do with you? Live your righteous life and let them wait for their hellish damnation!
My point is, freedom! Freedom and Freedom
